Delete your account

You can delete your Bucks account yourself, from inside the app. It takes about a minute.

In the app

1. Open Bucks and tap your profile, the last tab at the bottom.
2. Tap the settings button at the top right to open Account.
3. Scroll to the bottom, to Danger zone, and tap Delete your account.
4. Type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.

Want to keep a copy first? On the same Account screen, tap Export your data for a spreadsheet file of your profile and every month.

What gets deleted

Everything, straight away:

• your account, email and sign-in records;
• your profile and photo;
• every month you filled in, and everything in the money tools;
• your posts, anonymous ones included, and your comments, questions, answers, reactions and saved posts;
• your messages and conversations, follows, blocks, and reports you made;
• your challenges and answers to the question of the day.

Encrypted backups kept by our database provider roll off within [[BACKUP RETENTION, e.g. 7 days]]. Deleting can't be undone.

Can't open the app?

Email [[support@bluntly.app]] from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it's you and delete the account within 7 days.

To be removed from the website's waitlist, send the same kind of email and we'll delete your address.
