Coming soon to the App Store

Money, said out loud.

Write down what came in and what went out each month. See where you stand next to people your age, in your line of work, in your country. Then talk about it, with your name or without.

Launching first on iPhone in Portugal and the UK. We'll email you once when it's out. How we use your email.

Real screens from the app. The people in them are sample data.

What's inside

The numbers everyone has and nobody says.

Rent, pay, what's left at the end of the month. Bucks gives you a place to write it down, a fair way to compare it, and people to talk to about it.

Your statement

One page for your month.

Put in what came in and what went out: housing, getting around, food and everything else. Bucks works out what was left and keeps every month, so you can see the shape of your year.

  • Read the figures from a screenshot of your banking app. It happens on your phone and the image never leaves it.
  • You check every figure before anything is saved.
  • Your statement stays private until you choose to post it.
The Month screen: money left this month, with income and spending by category.
The mirror

See where you stand.

How does what you earn compare with people your age, in your line of work, in your country? And what share goes on rent, transport and food? The mirror shows you, one line at a time.

  • It only compares you inside groups of at least 20 people. Below that it uses wider figures and tells you so.
  • Pay is only compared with people paid in the same currency.
  • Nobody sees your lines. The comparison runs over groups, never over a person.
The Mirror screen: you earn more than 57 in every 100 people like you.
The feed

Talk about it. With your name, or without.

Post your month, a few lines, a question or a goal. Each time, you choose who sees it: everyone, only your followers, or everyone without knowing it was you.

  • Anonymous posts are stored with no author on them. The link back to you sits in a locked table the app can't read out.
  • The time on an anonymous post is blurred within the hour, so the order of the feed can't give you away.
  • Every post and comment can be reported, and anyone can be blocked in one tap.
The Home feed with the question of the day.
Posting: your month, a few lines, a question or a goal.
Question of the day

One honest question a day.

A new question every day, like "Do you feel paid fairly for what you do?". Answer first, then see how everyone answered and join the conversation.

  • Answers are counted, never shown one by one.
  • A gentle reminder at the time you pick, set on your phone. Or none at all.
Today's question with four answers.
Challenges

Small challenges, done together.

Cook at home for seven days. A 30-day savings sprint. Join one, check in each day, and see how many people are on track with you.

  • Only you see the days you missed. Everyone else sees totals.
Challenges: a 30-day savings sprint and a week of cooking at home.
Money tools

Tools for the rest of the month.

A budget with a limit for each category. Your subscriptions and when they renew. What you own and what you owe. A plan to clear your debts, a check on your pay, and a quick "can I afford this?".

  • Everything in the tools is private to you. None of it reaches the feed or the mirror.
Budget: left to spend this month, by category.
Subscriptions: what renews soon and what it costs a year.

Privacy

Built so your numbers stay yours.

An app about money only works if you trust it. These aren't settings, they're how Bucks is built. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

No ads. No selling.

Bucks shows no ads, has no ad trackers, and never sells or rents what you tell it.

Screenshots stay on your phone.

Reading figures from a screenshot happens on the device. The image is never uploaded.

Anonymous means anonymous.

Anonymous posts carry no author, and their time is blurred so nobody can work out who wrote them.

Groups of 20 or more.

The mirror never compares you inside a group smaller than 20 people.

Take it with you.

Export your profile and every month you've filled in as a spreadsheet file, any time.

Delete means delete.

Deleting your account removes your profile, your months, your posts and messages, and our sign-in records about you.

Be first in when it opens.

Bucks launches on iPhone in Portugal and the United Kingdom first. Leave your email and we'll tell you the day it's out. One email, then we delete the list.

You must be 18 or over to use Bucks. Bucks is not financial advice.
